Elizabeth D'Imperio
Artist's Statement
Elizabeth makes functional pottery in porcelain and stoneware. Her goal is to make pieces that are as much of a pleasure to use as they are to look at, with curves and handles that complement the form and feel good in the hand, and glazes that are pleasing to look at but can tolerate any kitchen use.
In addition to being a potter she has worked in natural resources for many years, so you will see influences of nature and Montana make their way into her pieces.
Elizabeth returned to Montana after living in the mountains of south western Virginia for several years where she was a member of the local potters guild and can now be found making pottery in her home studio here in Bozeman.
