Paul Brock ~ Wood Master
Paul Brock is a Montana native living in Bozeman, Montana. He likes to be in the great outdoors; downhill skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, trail dirt biking, camping, and short Hiking. He loves to carve, sculpt, create, modify, and build things. He has worked as a diesel mechanic, has worked at local lumber and hardware stores, and is currently semi-retired.
He started carving and shaping roots while camping with his son and his scout troop. All the items here are handcrafted from repurposed wood acquired from yards, pastures, gullies, gardens, mountains, and friends. Nearly all have come from Montana. A few pieces have come from the northwestern states.
None of the wood has been acquired from pre-processed planks or blocks.
The pieces are handcrafted with normal shop tools such as a drill press, bandsaw, chop saw, belt sander, hand sanders, and a lathe. Only the spheres are turned on a lathe. The remainder of the pieces are shaped by hand and by eye. Paul goes by "the guy that carves on wood and stuff".
