It’s always about color, texture and nature - always! Immersing herself in her Belgrade, MT art studio, envisioning, and then creating an acrylic impasto palette knife painting or a post-palette acrylic piece never ceases to bring her great joy; it is indeed her ‘happy place’ and she considers herself blessed to be able to paint and create art virtually every day.
Having grown up as a child of a Midwest-based award-winning acrylic, oil, pastel and watercolor landscape artist; and currently studying under a celebrated and world-famous acrylic impasto palette knife artist who has works in galleries across the country, Kathy is able to utilize concepts from both past and present education. No matter what she’s creating, it’s always about color and texture and nature. Each piece is an original, whether it’s the one being done for the first time, or a favorite being repainted (and she has a lot of favorites)! She highly encourages you to reach out and touch her art – to feel the texture, to embrace the vibrant colors and to virtually “walk into” the painting and become a part of it.
